16/11/1997:
Psychiatry and psychology
Other than volumes integrating
the proven electromagnetic mechanisms of memory with personality
formation, Cheng has also dissected the legal implications of
psychiatric diagnoses and misdiagnosis in such works as The
Specialty of Lying; Judgment vs
Psychiatric Diagnosis; Poison the Truth. As well, some mechanisms of brain phenomena(e.g. electronic
telepathy) and
psychiatric disorders were for the first time dealt with from
their neural perspective, e.g. neuronal
learning, instead of dwelling on purely often
unproven "theories." The accompanying warning " Don't
drink " further reflects this point.
12/1/98: As a whole,
Cheng has pushed this field way beyond
what Freud has given us,
e.g. re schizophrenia.
